MooreMotivation: Thankful v. Grateful

MooreMotivation

Thankful v Grateful

Most times these 2 words are interchangeable. But upon further review, from my sister Peachie, a clearer understanding was provided. During service yesterday, she spoke on the fine differences between the two. Side note before we go on, Grateful is my morning anthem. Each morning I use the song as energy and a reminder to give my best. Ok, back to Peachie. She said Thankful is a feeling of appreciation for something that has been done for you. But Grateful is an overwhelming feeling and reminder to ACT on that feeling of thankfulness. Grateful is understanding everything that has been done for you and showing that gratitude through actions. Grateful is being appreciative of the people that have done well by you and showing them your gratitude through actions. And the actions don't have to be toward the people or thing that provided for you. It can be reflected in other ways. Someone...provides time and opportunity for you...you show your gratefulness...by maximizing that time and giving your best! There's more to it but we will leave it right there. So, since you're reading and hearing this, let me see how Grateful you are!
