Think about the things you are RESPONSIBLE for everyday. Think about the people whose lives you IMPACT everyday. Now, imagine if in order to truly live up to the responsibility or the impact, it was directly tied to how you feel. Meaning, in order for you to give your best, you had to feel your best. I can tell you right now the outcomes wouldn't be good. Adults work. They take care of their homes and families. You think they like the feeling of getting up everyday at 4am to fulfill this. No! But if they didn't, the impact would be very damaging. Nobody would eat and the house would be gone. Everyone goes through it. And as an athlete who's trying to play D1, I'm telling you right now, you will never feel 100% again. You're not going to feel like getting up at 4am for weights and end your day at midnight sleep on a book, just to get up and do it again. You're not. It's grueling. But if you don't do it, the impact is, we'll you get it. The key is to learn to give your best, regardless of how you feel. When you're sleepy, sore, tired, hungry, mad, happy, sad, exhausted, etc. 😩😩Screw it. Get to it. Your responsibilities and impact are worth it.
