I'm still so thankful for this opportunity to further my education and wanted to share with you that I'm doing my best to honor Hazel Lee Moore's memory.
In my two months on campus, I've begun working as an EMT for Yale Emergency Medical Services, volunteering at the HAVEN Free Clinic where I have a patient caseload of low-income folks in New Haven, and advocating for immigrants within the greater New Haven community. I'm also still continuing my involvements with PPE4ALL, an organization dedicated to bridging health equity gaps across the nation, the Anti-Racist Teaching and Learning Collective, where I work as a student advocate, and Rokpa Mentorship, where I mentor and support first-generation and low income Tibetan-American students.
From Kendrick Silk Moore:
We are so proud of your continued service towards the community, Tenzin! You are representing the HLM legacy with high character and discipline. Keep on being great!
